April Wrap-up

Another month down and this one has been a little different. For the first time this year, I have been back to work! As pubs and restaurants are opening up again here in Scotland, we have been working hard to get ours ready to open. It has been interesting going back to work after such a long time at home, but it’s nice to get out of the house and see people again!

In spite of this, I have still been reading lots, and I have read some really great books this month. I have been soaking up every free minute I have, as I know that once I go back to work properly, I won’t have so much time or energy!

I read 10 books this month, all physical books as I’m saving my eBooks for when we can travel again:

Jane Seymour: The Haunted Queen, by Alison Weir

Everything, Everything, by Nicola Yoon

The No.1 Ladies’ Detective Agency, by Alexander McCall Smith

A Spark of Light, by Jodi Picoult

Elizabeth is Missing, by Emma Healey

Voyager, by Diana Gabaldon

Small Island, by Andrew Levy

The Midnight Library, by Matt Haig

Miss Benson’s Beetle, by Rachel Joyce

The Underground Railroad, by Colson Whitehead

And I am currently reading The Summer of Impossible Things, by Rowan Coleman.

My favourites this month were Voyager, the third book in the Outlander series, and Everything, Everything. I will also always love The No.1 Ladies’ Detective Agency, which was a reread.

How many books did you read this month? Any new favourites?
