The end of another month already!! And what a month it has been!
At the very beginning of August, I moved to Scotland to start my new job, working at a small hotel & pub. It has been a whirlwind, but I am working with a wonderful team and in such a beautiful location. I’m loving it so far!
I usually read on the way to bed, but since I have recently been working until the pub closes in the evening, I just have not had the energy. I usually just come home and fall straight into bed! So, I have had to find other times throughout the day when I can sneak in a bit of reading time.
I read 4 books this month, 2 physical books and 2 eBooks. I am really quite pleased with that, especially given the circumstances.
Below are my August reads:
The Time Traveller’s Wife, by Audrey Niffenegger
The Flatshare, by Beth O’Leary
Queenie, by Candice Carty-Williams
Only Killers and Thieves, by Paul Howarth
It’s hard to pick a favourite this month. The Time Traveller’s Wife was a re-read, and I really love this book. But I also loved The Flatshare and really enjoyed Only Killers and Thieves, despite the not-so-happy subject matter.
How many books did you read this month? Any new favourites?
