I know I seem to say this every month, but I really can’t believe that it is September already! I am not complaining though because it means that summer (my least favourite time of year) is coming to an end. Bring on colder days, roaring fires and snow!!
Despite catching Covid and being out of action for about a week, I had quite a good reading month in August. I had quite a few library holds come in all at the same time, so I read exclusively library books this month.
In total, I read 6 books, all physical:
The Lamplighters, by Emma Stonex
The Guncle, by Steven Rowley
A Breath of Snow and Ashes, by Diana Gabaldon
Circus of Wonders, by Elizabeth Macneal
The Librarian Spy, by Madeline Martin
The Lost Apothecary, by Sarah Penner
And I am currently reading A Man Called Ove, by Fredrik Backman.
My favourite read for the month of August was The Guncle, but I also loved The Librarian Spy.
How many books did you read in August? Any new favourites?
